Ajaib, Indonesia’s Gen Z-focused investing platform, just raised $270M at an implied $1.35B valuation. By making stocks and investing more accessible to first-time investors, it became one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing fintech unicorns.
Thailand has a contender. Dime, a corporate-born Thai startup building a Gen Z-focused investing app, is scaling fast. Ajaib has reached about 7M users since 2018; Dime about 2M since launching in 2021. Indonesia has roughly 4× Thailand’s population, so Ajaib wins on absolute market size. But Dime is showing incredible traction in the smaller market. It generated more revenue in six months than in the entire prior year:
The most interesting number isn’t user growth, though. It’s assets per user, up 23% from $1.9K (฿63.7K) in FY25 to $2.4K (฿78.0K) now.
Dime isn’t just adding accounts. Existing users are putting more money onto the platform.
